Our partner · RegistrarseColorado.com

Start your business the right way — registered, licensed, and ready to file.

Before you can file taxes, your business has to exist on paper. Our partner RegistrarseColorado.com handles the state registration and licenses. We handle the taxes that come after. One sign-up, then we pick up from there.

How it works

Three steps, start to filing.

01

Sign up with our partner

Create an account on RegistrarseColorado.com and describe your business: the name you want, how it's structured, and what you sell or do.

02

They file your registration

Your state paperwork is prepared and submitted for you — entity registration with the Colorado Secretary of State, plus the licenses and accounts your business needs.

03

We set up your taxes

Once the business exists, we build the tax side: a sales tax filing schedule, withholding if you hire, estimated payments, and records that hold up.

Registration fees and timelines come from RegistrarseColorado.com. Our tax preparation is quoted separately — call us and we'll tell you plainly what each side covers.

What registration covers

The paperwork a new Colorado business runs into.

Forming the business

  • LLC, corporation, or nonprofit registration with the Colorado Secretary of State
  • Registered agent and a preferred trade name if you operate under a different name
  • A federal EIN so you never hand out your Social Security number

Licenses and accounts

  • Colorado sales tax license for taxable goods, services, or short-term rentals
  • A Colorado withholding account once you have employees
  • City and county licenses where your business actually operates

Staying in good standing

  • The annual Secretary of State periodic report, filed on time
  • The federal ownership (BOI) report for new entities
  • Reminders before each deadline so nothing goes delinquent

Not every business needs all of this. Tell us what you're starting and we'll tell you which pieces actually apply.

Before you sign up

Have this on hand and it goes quickly.

  • The business name you want and the structure you've chosen
  • Owner names, addresses, and dates of birth
  • Your home and business addresses
  • A plain description of what the business does
  • Bank or accountant details, if you already have them
